Baptism
And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Baptism is an outward expression of our inward belief in and commitment to Christ.
The word "baptize" means to dip or to immerse. When you get baptized you are choosing to die to yourself so that you can live for Christ. (see Romans 6:1-4) Once you come up from the water you are publicly saying your "old man" died in that water.
